Madilyns playdate

We had a playdate on Saturday with a friend of mine from college. She has a little girl that is 2 months older than Madi her name is Macie. We had so much fun we went shopping had lunch and then let the girls look at each other and smile and giggle.One of the pics is of them watching telletubbies they love them.Im going to post a video later of them playing.

She slept all night!

i cant believe it but Madi didnt wake me for her 2am feeding until 5:30 this morning that was 7 hrs I am so excited.

it was sooo cute she laughed a REAL belly laugh! she has done it a couple of times and i cant wait till she does it agian. She also has been trying to sit up and she holds her head up very good. Madi loves making bubbles, talking and cooing nonstop.Im going to post a video as soon as I get it loaded on the computer.

Madilyns Nursery Rhyme Room

I love her room I put alot of work and love into this room. I picked out the fabric before i knew if it was a boy or girl, i just had to have it. once i found out it was a girl i started designing the bedding looking at ides on the web and all over to find the perfect bumper. I knew i wanted to do the monogram and wanted to have some pink added to make the bedding soft it it is made out of minky fabric. I had rose of sharon make the crib bedding and it turned out great. My mom and I sewed window valances,pillows,bed skirt for iron bed and made a custom mattress for the 100 year old iron bed. My mom found this bed at an estate sale even before i was pregnant in hope of using it in my nursery. So we had to get an ironman to clean it up b/c it had 10 layers of paint on it and it needed some welding done to it to make it functional again.So after that we had to find a foam cutting place to cut us some foam b/c the size of the old bed was odd since it is so old its bigger than a crib but smaller than a twin bed. So we had to figure out how to cover the foam.Then we had to find a comforter we just happened to go to Marshalls and found a twin comforter that is pink and white searsucker that matched perfect couldnt believe it! I love how it turned out Madilyn will go form her crib to this bed for her big girl bed. I sleep on it sometimes when i need to its not too bad since im short.
We also got a steal on our other furniture we found some unfinished furniture and they were going out of buisness that day so we got the changing table,and bookshelf for 150. So ryan and his mom and my mom all worked so hard on painting the furniture. Then Ryans uncle who is a decorator bought Madiyln a dresser and table and had them painted and antiqued in atlanta. He also found some beautiful antique french lamps that matched perfect they are a little boy holding a toy gun and a little girl holding a toy soldier and they look like they came off my fabric they match so well. Since my room is nursery rhyme theme i found a beautiful mother goose book with the best artwork so i went to kwik kopy and had them color copy some of the pages and i framed them for artwork.I had so much fun working on her room and being creative.
